Two building volumes connected via the corner building volumes result in a versatile and well-structured outdoor space, which is extended by a play terrace on the roof of the lower front building. This generates far more outdoor play area than required and the design places an emphasis on a diverse range of play and vegetation areas in the outdoor space.

The compact building envelope plays an important role, especially with regards to its sustainability.  The facade areas remain small and the building volume to be heated is minimized. The choice of materials, construction methods and design solutions is also made in accordance with the guidelines for sustainable building methods. The building is to be constructed to the greatest possible extent in wood with a high degree of prefabrication and thus makes use of resource-saving, regenerative building materials.
